The Bar Harbor 31 is a 49′0″ x 10′4″ one-design racing sloop designed by N.G. Herreshoff and built by Herreshoff Mfg. Co., Bristol, Rhode Island in 1903. There were a total of 13 built and launched in 1903. Indian is in the Herreshoff Marine Museum’s collection, and at least three others survive, of these the yawl-rigged Desperate Lark is still sailing.
