Sadie is a 26′7″ x 8′0″ keel-centerboard sloop designed by N.G. Herreshoff and built by Herreshoff Mfg. Co., Bristol, Rhode Island in 1914 as a slightly modified and improved version of Herreshoff’s own Alerion III. Sadie is in the Herreshoff Marine Museum’s collection and Alerion III is at Mystic Seaport. A number of replicas have recently been built.
