Description

The Luders 16, or L-16, is a 26′ 4″ x 5′ 9″ one-design racing sloop designed and built by Luders marine Construction Co., Stamford, Connecticut, from 1934 to 1959. Pre-war L-16s, then called Fishers Island One-Designs, were plank-on-frame while the post-war L-16s, represented here, had molded plywood hulls and cabintops.
