Friendship Sloops, also called Maine Sloop Boats are typically like this one and before engines were used all along coastal Maine for fishing and lobstering. Several builders in the Muscongus Bay area built them, including Wilbur Morse of Friendship and R.E. McLain of Bremen Long Island who built this 34′5″ x 11′9″ sloop boat in 1904.
